Trade winds do blow across the islands resulting in a significantly lower humidity as compared with other temparate locations. The islands have only two distinctive seasons, dry and rainy. Dry season is from April to October and the wet time of year is from November to March.
Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, with airplanes and submarines, sinking or destroying several Navy warships and taking some 2400 lives. You will be able to visit and explore the actual location as well as view some of the old ships still there today.
Major locations in the islands include Honolulu, Kalaoa, Pakala, Kalaheo, Kula, Kukuihaele, Anahola and Kalihiwai. Each hold their own experience for visitors, yet it would take more than only one vacation to experience it all.
The Hawaiian Islands have several distinctive culture groups which, through the years, have come to call Hawaii home. To name a few, Polynesian, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, German, English, Irish, Portuguese, Italian, African, French, Mexican, Scottish and Puerto Rican. Each have left their own mark.
