The Art of Rap beat making

Posted by mymegablog on Monday Oct 26, 2009 Under Huge Category

Does music interest you? There are so many forms of music and as such people can take up different forms of music for their pleasure. Some individuals may want to look at going into hip hop beats, while others may prefer rap. Trying to play beats that have been composed by others is common, but the ultimate thrill is making hip hop beats of your own. If you want to get into the business as a serious contender though, then creating your own beats is vital to this end.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know too much at the start, with time you will learn the ins and outs. There are also a few ways by which you can go about this achievement. A lot will depend on the actual style of the beat that interests you. Some people download beats with the sole purpose of practising stuff they have created by playing them on top of the beats. Or you can improvise on a beat you have found. Slowing the beat down or speeding it up are just some of the ways you can go about this.

Many of the downloadable beats have no royalty attached, so you can basically modify to your hearts content. And with such a plethora available, it is unlikely you will ever run out of beats to practise on. Visit this link to get more info on the theme: crunk beats

And when your practising days are behind you, you could invest in some software that will allow you to create beats from scratch. At the end of the day, all producers aspire to create their own beats.

Freelance Writing Guide for Newbies

Posted by mymegablog on Monday Oct 26, 2009 Under Huge Category

My online adventure began with freelance writing. Although that was more than 3 years ago, my freelance writing gigs helped me quit my full time job and launch my Internet marketing business as well. I highly recommend everyone who can write, or want to write, to get a few writing gigs as a legitimate and sustainable way to improve your cash flow.

Although there a really good freelance writing tips available, in this article let me give you and idea of what you can do:

  1. Become a ghostwriter for other people’s books and ebooks
  2.

  3. Write posts for website / blog owners
  4.

  5. Become a regular colun writer for offline / online media in various topics
  6.

  7. Become a paid blogger using get paid to blog like Review Me
  8.

  9. Become an editor / proofreader and help proof someone else’s work
  10.

  11. Become a web copywriter and charge for every web copy written
  12.

Being an editor requires more of a critical eye and amazing grasp of grammar and writing styles. This is a skill not everyone, even world-class writers, possess. Since copywriting involves a lot of creative thinking, you may not be able to get opportunities easily. Every other type of writing however, is a great opportunity for anyone who can construct a proper sentence in English.

Therefore ghostwriting, paid blogging and content writing is what you have to work with.

Ghost writing can potentially add between a few hundred to a few thousand dollars into your bank account every month, but the flip side to this is that no one will ever know who you are or appreciate the work you’ve done. A big market of ebook publishers are looking for ghost writing services.

Writing articles and web content for blogs / websites is another great opportunity, plus in most cases you also get a “byline” for your work. If you write for blogs, chances are you get a link back to your own site. By doing so you expose yourself and your name, while building credibility and repertoire. It’s much better for your career if you write on blogs or anywhere else where your name is published.

The final type of freelance writing you can do is sponsored blogging. Basically, you setup a blog and start writing from paid blogging opportunities. Advertisers want to create buzz about their products, and they will pay you to participate in doing it. How much you can charge for each article depends on the reach and popularity of your blog.

The great part of this is that technically you own the blog posts you have written, which means you can always make money from your growing blog with Google Adsense or even affiliate offers.

Quality Chefs Knives

Posted by mymegablog on Sunday Oct 25, 2009 Under Huge Category

Most people assume that a professional chef will say that a well-balanced chef knife has a forged blade, is probably 8 in. long, has a bolster, and has a full tang that extends the entire length of a wooden handle that is triple riveted in place. The assumption is well founded as that description includes the top of the line German chefs knives from the top companies in the industry like J.A. Henckels and Wusthof.

Can a stamped blade chef knife be well balanced? A forged knife blade is made from a single billet of high quality, stainless steel. The billet gets forged into the proper shape by hammers that wield tons of pressure. Several other other steps in the manufacturing process grind, sharpen and polish the blade. Forschner knives in contrast is punched out from a ribbon of high carbon stainless steel into a nearly perfectly formed knife blade, like an assembly line cookie cutter. The stamped blade is heated and cooled several times, often with ice, to get the desired tempering hardness and then finished and sharpened the same way as the more expensive forged chefs knives.

Weight is the major difference between a forged blade and a stamped blade of the same size. The forged blade began its life with more material and will weigh, on average, about 2 oz. more than a stamped blade. Hundreds of hours of slicing, dicing, mincing and chopping by chef testers has not conclusively determined a clear winner as to which blade type feels better balanced or better in the hand. It appears that the overall weight of the knife, including the handle, may be more of a deciding factor than the way the blade is manufactured.

Since the right balance, or feel, is considered by many professional chefs as the most important characteristic of a chefs knife you now know that there is very little difference in the preference of professional chefs bewteen a forged blade chefs knife and stamped blade chefs knife.

Once More No Cover

Posted by mymegablog on Saturday Oct 24, 2009 Under Huge Category

Summary
In our article called Mortgage Insurance , almost 2/3 of us have a lack of life cover, you’ll read a note to this article. Investigating the factors why so many borrowers are failing to take out life protection even though the ending could be extremely adverse.

tightening and rising lending rates is another reason why borrowers are not paying for primary policies.

Ensuring our knowledge that it is not simply those of us paying for brand new borrowing who omit Critical Illness Insurance , is David Hollingworth of brokers London & Country’. Some regular borrowers will already have cover, but when interest rates go on an upward trend, they find they have to prune their outgoings - and life protection is often the issue that goes and isn’t resumed.
Price levels remain comparatively low, thanks to the competitive market which are mainly the supermarkets. On moneyexpert.com, the finance comparison internet site, the cheapest £80,000 worth of low level life cover found for a non smoking 36 year old female was priced at seven pounds ten pence per months.

Desperate to reformat our mind-set towards , brokers are well aware they face a tricky question when aiming to get the message across about the subject. One insurance firm aiming to cover the problem is Direct Line who has recently undertaken a series of visual advertising campaigns.

You have many choices, if you are one of the numerous of individuals with mortgages with zero cover, in your possession. All you need to do is get on Google and start searching.

In most instances standardlife cover is adequate although there is alternative protection you can sign up for. For example, ‘whole of life’ cover will need some investment whereas ‘decreasing’ life policy reduces your repayments as your loan goes down.

However, Melanie Flannagan of Savills warns not to buy just enough to cover to pay off your home loan. ‘Make sure that you cover enough to protect your other outgoings in the short-term too,’ she says. ‘If you have increased your borrowing to cover the cost of rebuilding to your home, for example, you must ensure that the level of life protection is maintained accordingly.’

Do not take the risk.
Paying £66 per month, Stacey Savidge has no issues about finding money for |financing her|commiting to}life policy. ‘Why take the risk of not covering yourself when you could lose the flat if you don’t?’ she states.

Residing in Warrington, Cheshire with her husband Ian, a solicitor and their twins, the forty one year old self employed writer purchased their Axa protection policy from a leading building society. Opting for ‘decreasing’ term life protection their regular repayments become less as their mortgage does. ‘It’s really to ensure that the children are considered and catered for on a financial basis if there were any tragedy,’ says Catherine. ‘You never know what is around the corner.’

Four ways to maintain against the problems
• Individuals often have life protection from their companies, check whether this is the case for you.
• Joint policies are occasionally more costly than two best life insurance policies. Investigate if you are a couple.
• Ensure the insurance provider you procure from is authorised by the Financial Services Authority.
• ensure your monthly payments are fixed throughout the term, ahead of when you pay.

College Football 101: A Beginner’s Guide

Posted by mymegablog on Saturday Oct 24, 2009 Under Huge Category

So you would like to become a college football fan, but the game itself is a bit strange to you? Don’t feel embarrassed. Even those who follow the sport closely still need to check the college football analysis reports to keep a handle on all of the information that’s available.

College football is not that different from professional football. Let’s go over the fundamentals. In a football game there is an offense and a defense. The offense generally maintains possession of the ball, and thus is able to score, while the defense needs to prevent the offense from putting the ball into the end zone. Teams alternate roles from offense to defense after a certain amount of time to allow both an equal chance to score. The offense or defense is decided prior to the beginning of the game by a coin toss. The away team is afforded the chance to call the coin toss. A team usually scores points only when it is on offense. The task of the offensive team is to make their way into the opposing team’s territory and bring the ball to the endzone.

There are two ways to move the ball down the field either by running the ball or throwing it to a receiver who, after receiving the football, runs with it until he either reaches the endzone or is tackled by an opposing player.

The defense, meanwhile, is supposed to prevent the offense from scoring. They thwart the advances of the offensive players by snuffing out their attempts at scoring. Defensive players guard the offensive players, often tackling the one that is carrying the football. The defense should do everything it can to stop the ball from moving forward. By taking down the ball-carrier, the defense can sometimes even move the ball backward. Sometimes the defense manages to tackle the quarterback while the football is still in his posession. This is dubbed a sack. As with professional football, the team that manages to score the most points wins.

It’s just that easy. So now you can impress your friends with your vast college football knowledge.

Important Lesson You Need To Learn About Affiliate Marketing

Posted by mymegablog on Saturday Oct 24, 2009 Under Huge Category

It would be true to state that most people make little to no money with web marketing. This may be so for a wide range of reasons, but the underlining factor for most resons would be faulty thinking and reasoning.

My advice would be to explore your current situation, determine what are the major problems that you encounter and see if your mindset supports your goals and objectives, or if it sabotages you on each step of the way.

A big mistake that I see new affiliate marketers make is when they get into a new niche market. They either choose the wrong market, with low earning capacity, or they miscalculate the time, effort and money that needs to be invested in order for them to turn a profit.

For example, people sometimes choose a market that doesn’t have many products in demand, where people mostly search for free fixes to their problems. One way to see if a market is profitable is by searching for products in that market and seeing if th product names get any search engine traffic. If they do, then that market is something to consider.

Another point that I would like to make is that you need to choose the right monetization method when entering a niche market. If a lot of people search for actual products, then affiliate links are the way to go. On the other hand, if they are searching for more generic terms, then I would recommend considering Adsense as an alternative.

I could go on for days talking about why people fail at online affiliate marketing, but I will point out once again that mindset, in my opinion, is the most important thing. Mindset dictates your actions and even your thoughts. They are what determine how successful you’ll be in the end.

How To Do Your Part To Protect The Environment

Posted by mymegablog on Saturday Oct 24, 2009 Under Huge Category

Earth News: Climate change and the environment is top of the global agenda today as the need to cut down on carbon emissions becomes increasingly apparent. As world leaders negotiate to come up with a plan to halt climate change and cut down on emissions, we can also play our part.

Reducing the amount of energy we use in our home, in our workplace and in our cars can have a significant affect on emissions. Not only that, it can save you money too. If everyone makes an effort in their lives, it can make a huge difference on a global scale. Here is some advice on how you can cut down on your energy usage.

In the home

* Switch to energy-saving light bulbs. They cost slightly more, but save up to ten times their price over their lifetime.
* When you are boiling water, or heating anything, only boil the amount you need. You do not need a kettle full of boiling water for one cup of tea.
* Switch off appliances when you are not using them to save money and energy. TVs, videos, stereos and computers left on standby can use use a lot of energy.
* Recycle everything that you can. We throw away our own weight in rubbish every month, but bottles, cans, paper, card, plastic and aluminium can all be reused or recycled which saves energy. For example, it takes the same amount of energy to make 20 cans from recycled material as it takes to make one can from scratch. Recycling will also save you money on refuse charges.
* If you live in a sunny area you could potentially meet all your energy means using solar panels.
* Turning down your thermostat by just three degrees will save you 10 per cent in energy costs. Also, make sure that your home is well insulated so that it keeps the heat in.
* When washing clothes and dishes make sure the appliances are full. Also, try using lukewarm water.
* Keep the lid on pots and pans when you are cooking.

In the office

* Where at all possible, store all documents in digital format on your computer or another storage device. If you must print something, use both sides of the page.
* There is no need to fly half way around the world for a meeting. Online audio and video conferencing has effectively cut out the need for face to face meetings and conferences. The amount of energy that can potentially be saved here is huge.
* Turn your computer off completely or at least put it to sleep when you are not using it. Computers still use a lot of energy when they are on screensaver mode.

In the car

* For shorter journeys, leave the car at home and use a bike instead. Bikes are a healthy, quick and enjoyable way to get around, and a great way to avoid congestion if you live in a big city.
* Experiment with car pooling to get to and from work. It will save you money and could get you to work faster.
* Join the hybrid revolution. Do you really need that gas guzzling SUV? Buy a hybrid and use a fraction of the energy for your journeys.
* Public transport is far more energy efficient than driving. Also, remember that air travel is a major polluter so use ground transport wherever possible.

In the shops

* Do not accept plastic bags from shops. Always bring your own reusable bags.
* Try to buy organic food that is grown locally. Organic food is farmed less intensively and usually requires less energy to produce. In addition, the fact that it is grown locally means a reduction in transport costs.
* Try to eat less meat. Livestock are a major source of greenhouse gases.

Water

While water isn’t strictly energy, it is a finite resource that we need to preserve and take care of. Here are some tips on how to cut down on your water usage:

* Always use the shower instead of the bath.
* Never leave the tap running while brushing your teeth.
* Only use the dishwasher or washing machine with a full load.
* Try to install a system to use your waste water run-off to keep your garden watered. This will also encourage you to use non-harmful soaps and washing powders.
* Water your garden early in the morning or just before sunset. This allows the water to be absorbed into the ground instead of evaporating in the hot sun if you water during the day.
* Water butts or large water containers are a good idea for the garden. Situate them under the edges of your roof so they receive run-off when it rains.

These are just a few of the simple, yet effective, ways that you can help cut down on energy usage and reduce your carbon footprint. Even if we all follow just a few of these steps it will make a big difference and save us money as well.

Environmental News Service (Tip/Stat) Shoppers make an average 2.3 trips to the grocery store every week. Eliminating one of those trips would save time and energy. Earth News Media will help you promote green business.

1920’s Hairstyles

Posted by mymegablog on Saturday Oct 24, 2009 Under Huge Category

During the early 1920’s there began a transition from the long-hair styles of the previous decades to the newer short-hair styles like the bob. While bobbed hairstyles of the early 1920’s were very plain, they were transformed with beautiful curls and waves by the late 1920’s into stylish and feminine bobs that endured into the 1930’s. Due to their increasing sophistication, bobbed hairstyles increased in popularity through the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. The beautiful short hairstyles of this trend setting era have enjoyed a revival in modern times as hair stylists look back to this period for inspiration.

Hairstyles like the Bob, finger wave, Marcel wave, and shingle were the most popular hairstyles of the 1920’s with numerous variations of each. Hairstyles like the Eton Crop were temporary phenomenons that disappeared as fast as they arrived. As women of all ages sacrificed their long tresses on the altar of fashion, hairdressers and even barbers competed for this booming business.

1920’s movie stars and other celebrities were early adopters of the new shorter styles. Their celebrity status ensured that that the new styles received maximum publicity and in turn were eagerly copied by their fans. Despite the high cost involved initially there was a very high uptake of permanent waving when it became available to women everywhere.

In the 1920’s short hair for women was in and rapidly took over from the previously fashionable long hair styles. Although considered very radical by many in the early 1920’s, bobbed hair quickly became the desired standard for young girls and young women in their twenties, but was also very popular with middle-aged women in their thirties and forties. Sophisticated cuts including shingling were used to create attractive bobs that featured waves and curls to soften and enhance the styling. Early critics predicted that bobs would be a short-lived fad that would last a couple of years at most and were surprised to find that they continued to grow in popularity well into the 1930’s. As it turned out, the huge popularity of bobbed hairstyles for women became a major revolution in womens hairstyling.
